Millison Park Border Collies
Jaykeb and I don’t know how to say no to each other. So, when Bianca, a breeder who we have been following for some time, announces a litter, we of course put our names down for a pup..
We decide instead of getting the pup, who we have named Spice, transported, we will take a weekend off and go and pick her up from Dubbo. Bianca saw this as the perfect opportunity to get some images of the up and coming young dogs she has.
I must say, I have never seen so many dogs of such a high quality in one person’s kennel before, I wouldn’t have said no to taking any of those dogs home. We photographed four of the young dogs, River, Dollar, Rebel and King.
I had a photo in mind that I really wanted to get for the Embark Composition 101 challenge of a dog crouched low framed by the legs of sheep. Bianca bought out Moss for this, and we got the photo in under 5 minutes. This was made extra special because Moss is the father of my dog Tex.
Bauer’s Moss for my Embark Challenge
After we had finished photographing, Bianca and her partner Josh, let me put Tex around the trainer sheep and gave me some pointers on things I was struggling with.
After lunch, we had some video to film for the Australian Working Stock Dog Magazine and Dogtourque. So, we mic’d Bianca up and spend the afternoon filming.
It was a great experience to finally meet Bianca after we had been talking nearly every day for weeks. The quality and breeding of her dogs is next level and it is really a testament to her hard work and dedication.
Here are a few images!
